7:30 Meeting called to order by Pres. Mary Lou Allred

Rolls sheet was passed and ____ attended

Minutes were read by Linda Noble and Debra added that the club received application for 2009 specialty show and gave it to ML. They were accepted as amended.

Report of President: Good B- Match , Andy and Karen Torez lost their rescue bitch of many years, Ruby to cancer and asked Deb lewis to send a condolence card on behalf of the club. ML also sent flowers to them from the Dody’s florist.

JoAnn was sick so we didn’t have a secretary’s report.

Corr. Sec. Deb Lewis had nothing to report

Kim Zavesky gave Treasurer’s report and suggested that we find ways to fund raise as the club loses monies annually. The report was accepted as read.

B-Match Chair Deb lewis reported a successful B-Match, we actually made money and told of using a press-release as opposed to an ad , it was free and recommends it as an avenue to use again.

Sheila Blahete was documented for her second official reading as she missed the meeting at the library in March.

Mary Lou asked Debra Lewis to consider chairing the sweeps/specialty and she respectfully declined, due to plans to move to Fl. She will help in any way while here though. Melissa Lewis also informed us of her plans to go to No. Car. in Aug. t the meeting.

Many ideas were tossed around for how to fund the rescues with the donation from Cornwell and it was finally decided to give both an account at Dr. Cindy’s of $3000 with a $300 cap per case and that we’ll get a report of usage from the vet’s office.

Thank you Malissa Diener for a great website set-up and discussed ads and fees for members and non-members.

We also discussed future program ideas, how to generate more to attend meetings, looking for a place that we can bring the bullies, and to suspend the July and August meetings. The June meeting will be at the Peacock Building again on the 17^th with a show committee and hotel on agenda. We will have a plea for a member to volunteer for Show chair position and to explain duties on the website.
